Hi Everyone! My name is Simran and I’m a second year Biological Sciences major. I come from a small town called Middletown, and believe it or not, I was the only Indian at my school! That being said, Davis has definitely been a turning point in my life. I got more exposed to my culture and am now finding myself joining West Coast to learn more about Bhangra as well as myself. I can’t wait to embark on this journey and see what the future has in store for WBC!

My dream ever since I’ve stepped in CA has been to get admitted to UC Davis and that dream finally came true. Hey everyone! My name is Kruti Gandhi and I’m a second year Pharmaceutical Chemistry major. I’m from Clearlake, California which has little to no ethnic diversity. When I came to Davis, I instantly fell in love with the small town community here. This year I joined West Coast Bhangra, and it has been my best college experience yet. It has exposed me to expand my horizon and learn more about my Indian culture, that I wasn’t receiving back home. I’m excited about what the future has in store for me and the new connections I will make in WCB!
